The brother of murdered Croydon man Sukhwinder Singh has joined an international appeal for information.

Sukhwinder Singh was found dead at Epson racecourse on January 21 last year.

Speaking through an interpreter, his brother Kulbir Singh said he could not understand why anyone would want to hurt Sukhwinder.

Mr Singh has recorded a video appeal in Punjabi calling for anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Inspector Jon Savell said the force has posted a £10,000 reward for information that leads to a charge in the case, as well as setting up a free international phone number for anyone outside the UK to contact them.

DI Savell said Operation Isobar detectives were looking for three men from the Punjab region of India they believe know the events leading up to Mr Singh's body being found at the racecourse.

Police want to speak to three men - Amandeep, Rajinder and Amarinder Singh - who may have been at a party with Mr Singh ahead of his murder.

Amandeep Singh is about 5ft 9in, 32 years of age, and of medium build and is believed to have connections in the Croydon, Southall, Hayes and Hounslow.

Rajinder Singh is in his mid-30s and is believed to have connections in Croydon and Kingston.

Amarinder Singh, aged 25, has connections in Thornton Heath, Norbury, Hounslow and Kingston as well as Maidstone in Kent.

All three are believed to have attended the party in a flat in Sandfield Road, Thornton Heath, on January 20 and detectives suspect the murder might have followed an incident there.

Mr Singh said his brother left behind three daughters - aged 10, nine and four.
