Crowds flocked to cheer on hundreds of plastic ducks as they raced along a river during a popular charity event which raised £3,500 on Saturday.
The toy ducks took to the Hogsmill watched by nearly 2,000 people who were at the annual contest, organised by Ewell Court Residents’ Association (RA).
As well as the races, games, stalls, side-shows, food and refreshments were on offer.
The ducks set off at 2pm and Les Duplock, chairman of the RA, said there were no issues with water levels in the river, as was the case in 2012 when the ducks had to be dragged along in a sandbag.
He said: "The day went very well. There were lots of people. It’s a great, free event for Easter Saturday."
Most of the money raised will go to Epsom Hospital’s Casey ward for children. The rest will be divided between scouts and girl guide groups.
