Two cars have crashed this afternoon on the same road a car flipped after colliding with another vehicle just days ago.

Today's incident is understood to have happened between 3pm and 3.30pm in Greville Park Road, in Ashtead, at the junction of Park Road.

Mark Ayling, who lives on the corner of Greville Park Road, said he came home to find a car parked up with "very serious frontal damage" with a police car parked behind it.

FROM TUESDAY, APRIL 7: Man taken to hospital after car flips in crash

On Monday afternoon, a man was taken to hospital after a car overturned at the same junction.

One of the vehicles involved ending up careering through Mr Ayling’s fence.

A resident of the street since 2007, he said this was the fifth or sixth accident to happen at the same junction and the second occasion on which a car had ended up taking down his fence.

Mr Ayling said he fears "sooner or later lives will be lost" at this junction because the give way signs and lines are unclear.

Of today’s accident, he said: "It was the same scenario. A car was coming along Park Road and went straight into the path of another car on Greville Park Road.

"A police officer on the scene said the Ashtead Residents’ Association have had enough of it and will be taking it up."
