A duo of Teddington Swimming Club stars cleaned up at the Guildford Open meeting last weekend, winning five U15 gold medals between them.
Sophie Johnson claimed a hat-trick of top gongs in the 50m freestyle (27.82secs), the 50m butterfly (29.71secs) and the 50m backstroke (32.35secs).
The 14-year-old also won bronze in the 100m backstroke, clocking a personal best one minute 10.09secs.
Clubmate Toby Tolson, 14, won double gold in the 400m breaststroke (5:10.59) and the 200m individual medley (2:26.52).
Tolson also won silver in the 200m breaststroke (2:46.18), and a bronze in the the 200m individual medley (2:24.27).
Meanwhile, Teddington’s 13-year-olds Anna Smail, Sophie Fussell and Thalia Poaros, along with their coach Gina Heyn, 31, are currently mixing it with the best in the country in the British Championships at Stratford.
