Depression Awareness Week has just ended. But what are the top 10 signs to watch out for in your loved ones?

The top 10 signs of depression are:

1: Feeling low and tired

2: Difficulty sleeping 

3: Decreasing interest in activities

4: Waking up too early,

5: Feeling restless,

6: Eating too little or too much,

7: Losing weight,

8: Crying without any reason,

9: Feeling irritable

10: Feeling guilty without any reason and that life is no longer worth living.

Depression Awareness Week, spearheaded by the charity Depression Alliance aims to raise awareness of and remove the stigma surrounding the condition which affects an estimated 350 million people worldwide.

A quarter of the UK population will experience some kind of mental health problem in a year, with depression and anxiety the most common mental disorders in the country.
