Traffic and buses are being diverted away from a busy "rat run" after a high winds caused a tree to fall down.
The tree came down in Henley Avenue, North Cheam, today, causing the S3 bus to be diverted and blocking the road to other motorists.
Nikki Wheeler of Henley Avenue lives near where the tree came down.
She said: "I came out as I could see cars turning around in my drive and I thought 'what's this about?"
"We live about 100 yards from where it happened.
"It's blown down, the high winds have probably taken it down.
"Somebody is there now with a high-vis jacket taking measurements.
"It's blocked the whole road, its stopped the S3 bus and it's a rat run for traffic.
"We're having to tell people that they have to turn around."
