A woman who found an old photograph in a gutter puddle outside St Helier Hospital has appealed for the owner to come forward so it can be returned.
Sandra Smith, 46, of Mellows Road in Wallington found the colonial-era photograph in a gutter on her way home from work in the afternoon on Monday, April 13.
The black and white photograph features three men, possibly in their twenties, dressed in military or police uniforms in a warm-climate country.
A monkey can also be seen holding one of the men's legs near the bottom of the photograph.
Mrs Smith said: "I know it is just a photo, but it is all the history behind it that makes it special.
"It may have been brought into the hospital by a relative and may have fallen out of their pocket on their way out from visiting a relative.
"There is probably a lot of history attached to the picture and would love to return it to the owner."
To reclaim, the owner of the photograph can call the newsdesk on 0208 722 6334.
