If your king of swing is Frank Sinatra, or you prefer a bit of Michael Buble, these two classic crooners will be represented in a night of entertainment organised in support of St Raphael’s Hospice.
Tribute act Might be Buble, and So Sinatra will be joined by a nine-piece band, to help bang out all the classics at Music in the Manor Louisa Hitchen, the events manager for the hospice, says: “We are expecting about 2,000 people, but Carew Manor holds a capacity of 3,000 people, so there is still a lot more space.
“We are expecting to raise £60,000, but in the past we have made a £10,000 profit.”
The open-air concert is part of a string of shows that the hospice organises annually throughout the year.
The following month, open-air music fans should keep an eye out for tickets to a Robbie Williams tribute and Platinum, the Abba tribute band, who will play at Nonsuch Manor, while there is an It’s a Knockout challenge scheduled for late September.
The hospice has been serving the community of Sutton and Merton through the tireless work and campaigning of its volunteers over a 25-year period, helping people suffering with serious or terminal illnesses and helping their families through difficult periods.
As an outdoor event, it is advisable to bring a picnic blanket and chairs, but refreshments will also be available on the grounds of the manor.
