Police bludgeoned open a door during a early morning drugs raid in Carshalton before arresting a man inside the house. He would later be charged.
Officers, armed with a hand-held battering ram, smashed their way in to the Welbeck Road home in Carshalton today, Tuesday, June 2 at 6.25am.
After breaking open the door police entered the two-bed, mid-terrace property and arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of possession of cannabis and on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class C drug.
He was taken to a South London police station for questioning.
Sutton police later said that Billy Chandler, of Welbeck Road, Carshalton, has been charged with possession of amphetamine (speed) and possession of cannabis. He is due to appear in court on July 8.
