A new cafe based out of an art studio will donate 10p to one of six local causes for every customer who makes a purchase.

Village Ceramics, Station Way, Cheam opened a cafe on May 15 and its owners, couple Charlotte and Jay Harris, have made a generous promise to provide support for a collection of local organisations.

Customers will be handed a token after buying something they can use to vote for one of a choice of Cuddington Croft and St Dunstan’s primary schools, St Paul’s or St Dunstan’s churches, The Children’s Trust or Help for Heroes.

The tokens will be tallied at the end of each month and each will represent 10p to be donated to the chosen cause.

Mr Harris, said: “It is a trickle at the moment that we hope will become a stream. The idea is we want to offer support to our community."
