The Met police helicopter was over Carshalton today
Two men carrying a baseball bat in Tweeddale Road, Carshalton, sparked a helicopter search after running away from a police officer.
The two men, described as white and in their early 30s, ran away when they were approached by the uniformed officer at 8.23am today, Monday, June 15.
A spokesman for Sutton police said: "The Met Police helicopter joined in the search for the suspects who disappeared without trace."
One of the men was wearing a grey jumper.
No linked offences have been reported with this incident.
