Caravans seen on Roundshaw Open Space
Over a dozen caravans have been seen parked in Roundshaw Open Space since yesterday.
Witnesses have reported seeing up to 20 caravans, believed to belong to travellers, on the land on the Sutton-Croydon border.
An eye-witness claims to have seen the travellers enter the area in the early hours of yesterday morning coming in from Purley Way in Croydon.
Police have said that they are carrying out routine patrols in the area and are monitoring the situation.
