She said: “This is a good fun event and you get good matches. I feel very proud of myself.”
In the boys’ U19 final Richard Pelc, 17, from Cheam High School came from 2-1 down to beat Kevin Fang from Latimer School 3-2 (11-5 8-11 7-11 11-6 11-9).
The Sutton student said: “This was my first time in the competition. I enjoyed it and it was good fun but I couldn’t get my backhand going in the final. I did well to win.”
