Sutton High Street was taken over for the 18-year-old Country Music Festival as the dixie-swinging jamboree line-danced its way into town.

The free festival, on Sunday, July 5, was hosted d by Ralph Petty, with UK singer Bob Keeley getting things underway.

Naomi Gabrielle said on Twitter: “Brilliant time at Sutton Country Festival. South London meets Nashville. Line dancing in the high street, great live music!”

This was the second year the festival has returned to the town centre thanks to support from Successful Sutton.

Ross Feeney, Successful Sutton Chief Executive, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people dancing in the high street, enjoying live music and having fun.

“The Country Music Festival is just one of our exciting summer programme of events which are guaranteed to have something to entertain all ages.”
