Facebook users have taken it upon themselves to find the Carshalton owner of a birthday balloon that came down near the German border in Holland.
According to a post by Kate Gutteridge the balloon, shaped as the number 9, was found about 18 hours ago "near the German border in Holland".
Since then the post has been shared more than 1,000 times.
The picture that goes with the post shows a deflated silver balloon with the note "Hi, I'm from Carhsalton, Surrey. In south London, England."
She wrote: "Let's see if we can find the owner...this was found attached to a '9' shaped balloon near the German border in Holland.
"Please share, especially if you know someone in Surrey.
"Would be great if we could find the owner!"
Do you know where the balloon came from?
