Family and friends of a husband and wife murdered in the Tunisian beach terror attack have gathered for their funeral this afternoon.

Remembered: John and Janet Stocker

Morden couple John William Stocker, 74, and Janet Dorothy Stocker, 63, were shot in the tourist resort near Sousse on Friday, June 26.

Mr Stocker was a retired printer and Mrs Stocker worked at Sainsbury's North Cheam branch.

They leave behind five children and 10 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends have gathered for the memorial service at Putney Vale Crematorium in Stag Lane this afternoon.

The family said in a statement: "They were happily married for 26 years and partners for 42 years living in London, and the proud parents to us all and will be sorely missed by Denise, Paul, Mark, Kelly and Lee Stocker, as well as their grandchildren, family and many friends.

"John, a retired printer, enjoyed an active life in retirement and was a keen photographer and gardener, while Jan was a modern mum and fun-loving, doting grandmother who enjoyed a wide social group of friends."

Thirty Britons and eight others were killed in the attack when gunman Seffedine Rezgui opened fire on holiday-makers.

Thousands of Britons have since been flown home from Tunisia after the Foreign Office declared another attack in the country was "highly likely".
