Shoppers, business owners and residents can have their say on plans to revamp the northern end of Sutton town centre.
Sutton Council has £500,000 of Government cash to splash on regeneration in High Street, including on upgraded shop fronts, better seating and new plants.
A public consultation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, from 12pm to 2pm and from 4pm to 6pm in front of Asda in High Street. A second session will be held between 10am and 5pm the following Saturday, September 12.
Councillor Marlene Heron, Sutton local committee chairman, said she hopes renovations would increase footfall. She added: "That way we can reduce the amount of shop vacancies, improve the look of the area and attract new customers."
Conservative opposition leader Coun Tim Crowley said: "It represents a colossal waste of money for the tax payer.
"And they don't explain clearly how this will help entrepreneurs."
