Cheam got prime time billing last night when two of its best known exports brothers Jeremy and Tim Vine returned to their old haunts for a BBC feature.
The pair, who have both gone on to have successful media careers, took film crews around their home town for a segment on The One Show, aired last night.
Jeremy Vine has gone on to become an author, journalist and news presenter, while younger brother Tim is a well known comedian.
After a return to the family home, where they first tried out their presenting skills on drain pipe radio, quite literally speaking down a drain pipe to their parents below, the pair took in St Paul's Church Howell Hill and the Secombe Theatre.

As youngsters the pair formed band Flared Generation which played its last performance at the Secombe, earning a review from this very newspaper "memorable but for all the wrong reasons".
This harsh assessment seems to have done nothing to dent the pair's enthusiasm for getting up in front of an audience, nor for their love for Cheam and the surrounding area.
Closing the segment Jeremy said: "I think what Cheam mainly reminds me of I was given that freedom by mum and dad to go and do whatever I wanted. There is nothing better, just it is home."
