Police patrols have been stepped up after a 13-year-old girl was touched by a man on a skateboard.

The teen was walking along Brambledown Road, Wallington, yesterday at about 7.45am when a man on a skateboard approached her before touching her on the shoulder, police have said.

Officers are treating the episode as an assault.

The man was described as of Asian or Arabic descent, between 30 and 40 years old, with a beard and moustache.

He was also said to have worn dark clothes and a cap, and ridden a grey-coloured skateboard.
