A dog’s owner says her Staffordshire Bull Terrier has been stranded next to train tracks at Sutton Common station for 18 days.
Jade Pitt, 21, has been back-and-forth between her home and Sutton Common station trying to retrieve it from the grass verge where it has been spotted a number of times since it went missing on November 3.
She says Falcore, 3, is severely malnourished and has obtained neck injuries while being trapped on the verge.
She said: “He’s a bag of bones now, there’s absolutely nothing of him.
“He has blood coming from his neck and on the side of his body.”
The British Transport Police were alerted to a sighting this morning and on November 16. Both times BTP officers and Network Rail were unable to find Falcore.
A train driver spotted the dog on November 17 on the same verge between Wimbledon Chase School and Toynbee Road, and provided Miss Pitt with a pin-point location.
The picture below was taken from atrain at Sutton Common, and sent to Ms Pitt on November 10.
She also has set up a Facebook page and group in desperation to try and find her pet.
