Firefighters tackled flames at a house in Carshalton Beeches this morning.
One crew from Wallington and two from Sutton put out a blaze in a garage in Crichton Road, near Carshalton Beeches train station.
A neighbour spotted the fire as she left for work early and alerted the owners and London Fire Brigade at about 4.45am.
It is believed that the blaze was caused by cinders left in a rubbish bag.
Firefighters extinguished the fire within five minutes of arriving and no one was injured.
