The BMW was wrecked in the crash
A man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a head-on collision between and BMW and a parked JCB digger in Carshalton.
London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service were both called to the scene of the crash in Wrythe Lane, near junction with Wigmore Walk, at 1.33am yesterday.
The BMW’s driver was taken to hospital with back and leg injuries.
Sutton police tweeted a picture of the wrecked car shortly after the crash.
