Hardcore porn films have been shot in broad daylight in Sutton town centre under the noses of unsuspecting shoppers and families.

The explicit footage, professionally produced and uploaded onto a popular pornography website last week, was filmed at unlikely public locations including the St Nicholas Shopping Centre car park and outside residential garages.

The x-rated movies were branded “absolutely disgraceful” by a councillor after she learned her own road had been used as a porn set.

The films, some of which been viewed more than three million times, show a woman acting as a taxi driver travelling around Sutton and stopping to have sex with male “passengers”.

Parts of the borough, including the St Nicholas centre car park and streets near Sutton town centre, are clearly visible in the raunchy footage.

South Sutton councillor Trish Fivey, who lives opposite garages in Langley Park Road where one of the films appears to have been shot, said: “It is absolutely disgraceful that this is happening in public, not to mention right on my doorstep.

“It’s very worrying that it is going on under our noses, in broad daylight, where anyone could walk by and be subject to this indecency.”

Housing association Orbit South, which owns the garages, said it would investigate.

Catherine Charles, the association’s head of housing, said: “We are grateful to the Sutton Guardian for bringing this activity to our attention.

"We will be working with our partners to investigate this incident and take necessary enforcement action.”

The shopping centre’s bosses would not confirm if they knew of the footage but said they were “aware of an incident”, which was reported to police.

Director Gavin Waller said: “We are aware of an incident that took place in the car park at the St Nicholas Centre last year.

“The onsite security team informed Sutton police who dealt with the incident swiftly.”

But the Metropolitan Police said it had no record of being called to the car park and had not seen the films.

Two people were arrested after officers were called to reports of a couple “behaving indecently” in a taxi parked outside a nursery in Cotswold Road, Belmont, at 2pm on February 11.

But it is unclear if the arrests were linked to pornography.

A police spokesman said: “The taxi was stopped by police in Grove Road, Sutton.

“Police spoke to the occupants – a woman, aged 28, and man, aged 39. They were both arrested.

“However, after carrying out enquiries, there was insufficient evidence of any criminal offences having been committed.”

The films uploaded last week are not the first in which Sutton provides the backdrop to lewd acts.

In 2013, Sutton Council launched an investigation after learning hardcore porn - also featuring a taxi - had been shot on the top floor of its Gibson Road car park.

The footage led to demands for improved security.
