Police have released CCTV images of a teenager they are tracing after a bus went up in flames near Lewisham station in a suspected arson attack.

Captured on film, the fire ripped through the top deck of the double-decker bus whilst it was stopped in Loampit Vale at around 6pm yesterday.

The £200,000 route 208 bus, which travels from Lewisham to Orpington, was gutted as a result of the fire.

Today officers released images of a youngster they'd like to speak to in connection with the suspected arson.

The suspect is a described as a black male aged between 13 and 15-years-old.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information and urge witnesses to come forward.
