Two Sutton police cadets finished just two minutes apart from one another at the London Marathon this weekend.

Tony Cheng and Nathan Hodge finished the 26 mile-long event in six hours 24 minutes and six hours and 26 minutes respectively.

Mr Cheng ran for Embrace Child Victims of Crime, while Mr Hodge ran for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Another 20 cadets from Sutton showed their support from the side lines by staffing stands along the route in Rotherhithe.

PC Gill Nolan, who helps co-ordinate the Sutton Volunteer Police Cadets, said: "These are the first cadets from Sutton to compete in the London Marathon. I was thrilled that they both finished and raised money for two good causes."
