A sleeping woman awoke to find masked burglars in her house in a "terrifying ordeal".
The victim, a 24-year-old, was napping downstairs when the two men dressed head-to-toe in black forced entry to the back of her Wallington home on Wednesday afternoon.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the burglary, which happened in in Sandy Lane South between 2.45pm and 2.55pm.
The victim awoke to the sound of the intruders and called the police before the burglars snatched her phone.
They also grabbed a selection costume jewellery, described by police as "low-value," before fleeing.
Both burglars were clad head-to-toe in black and were wearing balaclavas and gloves.
One was white, aged about 20, and 5ft 8in tall. The other was about 5ft 10in. Both spoke with a London accent.
Neither was seen to be carrying a weapon and no getaway vehicle was seen.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
Detective Chief Inspector Rachael Porter, of Sutton police, said: “This must have been a terrifying ordeal for the victim.
"Incidents like this where victims encounter burglars are extremely rare and we are appealing for information to assist our investigation.”
