Two women came to the aid of a man after he was attacked at a bus stop by a teenager, while a second filmed the assault.

Police in Epsom are hoping the public can help them find the victim of the assault and the two good Samaritans who came to his aid.

A man was standing at a bus stop on Waterloo Road, Epsom around 3.30pm on Sunday July 17 when a teenager cycled up to him and assaulted him. A second teenager filmed the attack on a mobile phone.

Sergeant Edward Adderley said: "This was a nasty incident on an innocent man who was simply standing at the bus stop. For whatever reason the victim did not want to call Surrey Police after the attack but we would urge him to reconsider and come forward so we can put a stop to this offending.

“The man is of mixed race, aged in his forties and of scruffy appearance. Two women came to his aid after the assault and we are also appealing to them to come forward with details of what they saw.”

Police have arrested two boys, aged 13 and 14, in connection with the assault. The boys have been bailed until August 30.
