A man was found hiding under clothes in a wardrobe after police raided a flat in Sutton.
Officers forced their way arrested two men after forcing their way into the flat in Regency Court, Brunswick Road, at 5am today.
A man aged in his mid-30 who was wanted by police in connection with a theft in Sutton High Street was found hiding under a pile of clothes in a built in wardrobe.
The second man, aged in his late 20s, was found with a quantity of cocaine.
Both men were then arrested at the central Sutton flat and taken to a south London police station.
Police assisted by a dogs unit were executing a drugs warrant after receiving a tip-off from a resident.
Sgt Lee Burgess, of St Helier Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: “Operations like these are intended to stop and disrupt drugs activities in the borough. We take all reports seriously.
“We will investigate all reports and take appropriate action. Sutton is a low-crime borough and we want to work closely with residents to keep it that way.”
