A pub in Sutton is holding a rock ‘n roll bingo night to help raise funds for one of its regular punters whose sister suffers with MS.
Sarah Howlett, of Mulgrave Road, plans to trek through the Sahara Desert in a bid to raise £2,500 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
And staff at her favourite boozer the Old Bank, in High Street, have organised a bingo fundraiser to give a helping hand.
The Stonegate chain pub’s event will be held on Monday, October 31 at 6.30pm.
All the proceeds from the four rounds of bingo, at £2 per ticket, will go towards Ms Howlett’s cause.
Her fundraising page has already pulled in more than £2,500 for the charity.
Miss Howlett said: “My beautiful sister and amazing best friend faces this invisible disease every day and by raising money I can in some small way help the MS Society fund valuable research, provide nurses and help make life easier.”
