A man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a woman and cultivating a cannabis farm in Carshalton.
Officers were alerted to reports of an assault at a house in Twyford Road at about 3.02pm on Wednesday, January 11.
There they arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of causing GBH.
An injured woman, aged in her 30s, was seen walking in Tweeddale Road, near St Helier Hospital, and was treated by paramedics before being taken to a west London hospital.
Her injuries are not life-threatening.
When searching the house police found a suspected cannabis factory and the man was further arrested on suspicion of rape and producing cannabis.
He was taken to a police station in west London and has been bailed until a date in mid-April pending further enquires.
