A cold snap is on its way to London this week as forecasters warn there could even be a chance of snow and/or sleet.
The frosty weather is due to begin today (Thursday, February 9) and last through the weekend and into next week.
Temperatures dropped below freezing last night, and snow could be on its way over the next four days.
Temperatures during the day will sit at around 5C – just under the positively toasty 7C predicted in Reykjavik, Icleand’s capital, over the same period.
A spokeswoman for the Met Office said temperatures in the coming days will be lower than the average for the time of year.
She said: "Over the weekend it is expected to be minus 1C.
"That is 4-5C below average."
Age UK has urged older people to take precautions in the cold weather to keep themselves "safe and well".
