Randy Croydon couples and bonk-buddies in Bromley are having three times more sex than prudes in Cornwall, according to intimate new figures.

A survey has revealed couples in south London have sex a whopping 84 times per year – an average of seven sex sessions a month, putting them almost smack-bang in the middle for the country.

While lustful Lancastrians have it away the most, at 17 times per month, shy couples in the south west of England only manage to fit in two sessions per month.

The recent survey of almost 2,500 Britons in relationships marks our residents as some of the most average lovers in the country – but well up on the meagre once-a-week sex sessions enjoyed by those in chilly Scotland and the north east.

Essex beds also see less action than those in Erith, with their headboards banging just five times a month.

The team at www.BiggestFreeBets.com conducted the research as part of an ongoing study into British attitudes towards luck.

According to the poll, the average love-making session was revealed as 22 minutes, with the most popular times to do so revealed as "in the morning after waking up" and "just before going to sleep".

Ethan Rowe, editor-in-chief of BiggestFreeBets.com, said: “Whilst some may be jealous of others for getting lucky in the bedroom more than they do, ultimately sex isn’t the be all and end all of a relationship.

“There are various factors that make a strong, healthy relationship – but being intimate definitely helps.”

In another sex survey, Londoners came out ahead at arranging the most threesomes.

More people in the capital have downloaded and used the threesome dating app 3Somer than anywhere else, meaning some of those seven lucky times enjoyed by our readers may also involve a pal – because the capital contains 20 per cent of the app’s network of users.
