Police believe an accelerant was used to fuel a house fire near Croydon town centre.
Officers and firefighters were called to reports of a fire outside a home in Edrigde Road shortly after 3am this morning.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Officers and the London Fire Brigade attended. There were no reported injuries. Minor damage was caused to a front door.
"At this early stage of the investigation it is believed an accelerant was used."
Enquiries continue. No arrests have been made.
