Police have launched an appeal after woman has killed after being struck by a car in Teddington.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service (LAS) at about 11pm on Monday, February 27 the crash in Kingston Road, near the junction with Ferry Road.

Emergency life support was given to the female pedestrian until the arrival of LAS and medical staff from London's Air Ambulance.

The woman, aged 46, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Whilst officers believe they know who the deceased is, and next of kin have been informed, they await a formal identification.

A spokeswoman for the Met said: “The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.

“The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the incident.”
