A pair of adorable specially-trained brown mice have been hired as hotel managers by Chessington World of Adventures Resort to celebrate its new Gruffalo ride.
The mice, which closely resemble Mouse in the bestselling children's book, have been recruited to guide guests to their room and can correctly spot door numbers.
They are currently going through a rigorous training programme, learning how to navigate their way from front desk to hotel room door, at the resort's Azteca hotel.
Their arrival coincides with the launch of the world's first Gruffalo-themed ride, The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, and hotel rooms which open on March 18.
Dan Sutton, head of hotel operations at the resort, said: "We're always striving for the highest level of customer service and what better way to celebrate The Gruffalo than welcoming guests with the book's key character.
"As with all our staff on-site, the mice have been going through a rigorous training programme and will be ready to show guests to their rooms in the next few weeks."
