A meat cleaver has been found in the grounds of a school during a police patrol.
A picture of the large knife was Tweeted by the Norwood Police account this afternoon.
Enquires into who was carrying the blade are now been carried out, officers said.
It has not been confirmed which school the knife was found in, but Norwood Police has been contacted for more details.

The Tweet reads: “Knife recovered by #UpperNorwood officers during the search of a schools grounds.
"Enquires continue into who was carrying it."
The alarming find comes after four teenage boys were stabbed in the borough in just one week.
