A teenager has been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was repeatedly stabbed during a street fight in South Norwood.
The boy, who was stabbed in the face and back in Albert Road, was taken to hospital and later arrested on suspicion of carrying a weapon.
The 18-year-old was arrested in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, March 7, in Hampshire on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in police custody.
Police were called to the road, at the junction with Portland Road, on Saturday, March 4.
On arrival no victim was found, but a 16-year-old took himself to hospital suffering multiple stab wounds.
His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The group who attacked him made off in a vehicle, a Met spokesman said.
