Hundreds of residents joined queues at Chessington World of Adventures this morning for the opening The Gruffalo ride.
The popular theme park opened its doors for the year this morning and introduced the new child-friendly water ride.

Based on the bestselling book by Julia Donaldson, theย ride has replaced the beloved Bubbleworks ride, which closed in September last year.

The ride's closure sent fans into meltdown when it closed, with one even legally changing his name to match the ride's mascot Professor Burp.
A charity auction was also run with props from the decades-old ride, which raised thousands for charity.
