A motorist has smashed into a bollard and their car has been left a traffic island at a busy roundabout in Carshalton.
The driver crashed into the island at the exit to Banstead Road South shortly before 6.36am today (Thursday, May 25).
When officers arrived, they found the black Vauxhall Corsa’s bonnet had been damaged after it hit a bollard and road sign.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed no one was injured in the crash.
Twitter user Dino in London posted a picture of the car on the social media site and claimed there had been several accidents on the road.
They said: “@SuttonCouncil #Carshalton we are getting too many of these on Banstead Road, why? @TomBrakemp.”
