Awards for the 2017 Sutton in Bloom competition have been presented to winners of the best gardens and gardeners in the Borough.
The Mayor of Sutton, Cllr Jean Crossby, distributed the awards at Beddington Park Pavillion.
She said: “Sutton is rightly renowned as a green and leafy borough and I’d like to pay tribute to the hard work of the gardeners and growers who have put so much effort into establishing and maintaining the excellent gardens we’ve been so lucky to see in this year’s contest. Congratulations to all the winners and runners-up and keep up the good work.”
Winners will now be entered into the London in Bloom competition.
Best Community Garden: (Joint winners) Kevin Plicio – Your Space Sutton, Seears Park Nursery; Cheam Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Best Business Frontage: Sutton Business Centre
Best Front Garden: Mr and Mrs Fawcett
Best Allotment Garden: Astrid Svindland
Best School Garden: Muschamp Primary School
