Nana Bempong and Maxine Mew of the Drivers Direct’s Sutton branch have won top awards at the company’s annual black tie ball in London – winning Employee of the Year and the Five Year award respectively. The awards were given after Nana proved to be the most successful employee out of all the company’s branches in the UK, and Maxine was rewarded for her dedication to the business.

The event also raised £1,200 for wounded servicemen at the Victory Service Club, making the company’s total donations raised so far this year hit the £2,500 mark.

Drivers Direct run the annual competition across all of its branches, with several prizes awarded across the business for various achievements. The Sutton branch has enjoyed success with key team members being awarded for their passion and commitment to the driving recruitment industry.

Gethin Roberts, owner and Managing Director of the company, comments: “Rewarding the hard work of our employees is of vital importance to us, we never want their efforts to go without recognition. Nana and Maxine’s dedication to the Sutton customers and drivers has made the branch incredibly successful, these accolades are very well deserved.”

Nana Bempong comments: “I’m ecstatic! It’s so rewarding to know that your company truly cares about the work that you put in over the year. The annual ball is always a great evening in itself, and to win employee of the year is just fantastic - I’m looking forward to another year’s success.”

The success of the Drivers Direct annual ball itself has not gone unnoticed, as the company is through to the finals of the Recruiter’s Investing in Talent awards for the effects of the motivational event.
