A community group has objected proposals for a new six-storey building in Hackbridge.
Hackbridge & Beddington Corner Neighbourhood Development Group noted that in the original proposal there is reference to future development opposite the site despite no planning application being submitted.
Developer Hexagon Investments Limited is proposing to build the eight two-bedroom flats and four one bedroom flats at Hexagon House 59 London Road in Hackbridge.
The Hackbridge group added that the location impacts the Victorian terrace cottages on London Road which they say will be hindered by an “extreme” loss of sunlight.
They also believe that the third photograph in the Design and Access statement shows an incorrect site boundary.
A reduction of car park spaces in Hexagon house from seven to five is “unacceptable,” according to the group, who said that the area is “affected by overspill problems from the adjacent train station site”.
