A fundraiser is being held in Wallington to support a football league dedicated to children with disabilities.
Comedian Patrick Monahan will perform on September 16 at Cryogas Sports Club in Wallington to raise money for the Surrey FA Football For All League.
In July, manager of Sutton disability team Croygas Pirates, Bob Watson, told Sutton Guardian: “Without this team, these kids can’t play football. My opinion is that every kid should be able to play football regardless of disabilities.”
Croygas Pirates have won the Surrey FA Football For All League respect award for two consecutive years.
Bob said: “We are not the best team but the guys are always smiling. We get on with everyone and we don’t care if we win 10-0 or lose 10-0 as long we're smiling.”
Tickets for the fundraiser cost £20 and are available by emailing manager of Croygas Pirates, Bob Watson, on rwwpandh@icloud.com
