A day of advice, exhibitions and activities is being brought to Wallington next month to mark International Older People’s Day.
The annual occasion falls on Friday October 13 with Trinity Centre on Maldon Road hosting the event from 11-3.
Healthcare professionals Audiology, Diabetes UK, Optometry and Stroke Nurse will be on hand offering free advice.
Unique activities such as Tai Chi, yoga, medau movement, hand drumming and singing are available.
Some of the borough’s exhibitors include Age UK, Stroke Association, Citizens Advice, London Fire Service and the Safer Neighbourhood Team.
A poster statement read, “Celebrate with us and find out more about living safely and happily in Wallington, meet new people and find activities available for you locally.
“Helping to overcome loneliness and isolation in our community.”
