A public consultation is being held this month where the Sutton police commander will present proposals on the future of front counters.
It is proposed that by 2021 Sutton Police Station will house the borough's only front counter. This will result in the closure of the front office at Worcester Park Safer Neighbourhood Base and the shutting down of the contact point at Crosspoint House.
Sutton Police Station currently runs a 24/7 front counter service.
The upcoming meeting is part of the Metropolitan Police Service and The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime’s (MOPAC) Public Access and Engagement Strategy on the future of front counters.
On September 14, the Civic Centre in Sutton will host a consultation at the meeting room on the ground floor at 6.30pm.
Following the police commander’s presentation a question and answer session with the officers and MOPAC will be conducted.
