Sutton's elderly folk enjoyed an Afternoon Tea Dance last weekend to celebrate Older People's Day.
The Holiday Inn in Sutton hosted the event on Sunday, October 1.
Deputy Leader of Sutton Council, Simon Wales and CEO of Age UK Sutton, Nicola Upton kicked off the festivities with a long waltz before being joined by the 70 plus guests.
“I really enjoyed being part of this fantastic day” said Cllr. Wales. “It was wonderful to see so many people having such a great time and I look forward to helping Age UK Sutton celebrate later life in the future."
Nicola Upton thanked the hotel, the caterers and the supporting organisations and volunteers who helped to create a "spectacular day".
She added: "We would love to continue holding similar events in the future and as a local, independent charity, we are keen on involving the local residents and businesses to do so.
"Donations of funds, goods or time all make a huge difference, and allow us to make Sutton a better and better place to grow older.”
