Sutton United have raised money for Prostate Cancer UK after converting their club house to a Men United Arms.

Prostate Cancer UK has been the official partner of Non-League Day for four years.

Earlier this month, October 7, fans of Sutton United supported the event by taking part in the pub project.

James Beeby, Director of Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, said: “The power of football consistently helps us reach out to men and their friends and families, and we are very grateful for Sutton United’s support on Non-League Day as we continue to raise money and awareness throughout the grassroots game in innovative ways.

"The Men United Arms concept is a great example of this, and it was fantastic to see clubs from across the country raise the bar.

The annual event inspires hundreds of non league football clubs to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer.

James Doe, founder of Non-League Day, added: “Prostate Cancer UK’s work across football goes from strength to strength but the statistics about the disease are still chilling. One man dies every 45 minutes so more than ever we need to raise awareness and funds to hit back.

“Reaching supporters, players and officials at all levels of our national game is massively important to changing this, and it was great to see non-league clubs and their supporters adopting Prostate Cancer UK as their charity for the day with fundraising events such as the Men United Arms."
