A new stationery store has opened in time for Christmas at the St Nicholas Centre in Sutton.

The Australian stationery retailer now has over 120 stores in the UK and Ireland.

Their latest addition in Sutton opened on Friday, December 1.

The day also saw the launch of the St Nicholas Shopping Centre Santa’s Grotto, which is now open until Christmas Eve.

Managing director of Smiggle, John Cheston, commented: “Smiggle has proved to be a real success with consumers. We are thrilled to be introducing our products to local areas and giving fans greater opportunity to purchase our unique products.

“There really is nothing like Smiggle anywhere else on the high street and it has been great to see the public’s reaction since opening in Sutton on Friday.

“It’s important for us to inject fun into everything we do – from product design to store design, we will always focus on delivering to our fans the most original and playful stationery possible. We know how important it is to have the right tools for festive fun.”

Facebook competition winners Poppy and Woody Smith were presented with a £50 gift card to spend in store.

Their mum, Toni Smith, said: "We had an amazing time in Smiggle. I can't thank everyone enough for making two children feel so special."

Smiggle opened its first UK store in February 2014.
