The ‘Big Freeze’ will continue into this weekend as Londoners brace for heavy sleet and snow storms.
The Met Office has extended its yellow weather warning for London as temperatures plummet even further.
The updated warning covers tonight (February 6) and will carry on into tomorrow, although it is not known as of yet when the 'big freeze' will start to ease.
The Weather Channel is warning people that temperatures could drop as low as -12, which will make driving very dangerous.
Due to freezing conditions, ice will pose a widespread hazard, which may cause severe delays when travelling.
Those commuting to work should allow extra time for their journeys to avoid accidents and wrap up warm if travelling long distances.
The weather should start to pick up at the start of next week when we can expect less wind and sunny spells.
