A man was rescued by emergency services from the bridge at Sutton station today (February 23) after threatening to jump.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: “Police and London Ambulance Service were called at approximately 1.50pm to Sutton station to reports of a man threatening to self-harm.
“The man came down from the bridge of his own decision and was detained under the mental health act.
“He sustained no injuries.”
The street was cordoned off while emergency services helped the man.
